Inaugural 91传媒 / NIPR Training and Collaboration Summit Celebrates Success
The 91传媒 (91传媒) and the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) announce鈥痶he successful completion of the first-ever 91传媒 / NIPR Training and Collaboration Summit.鈥
The Summit, which was held in a hybrid format, took place at the 91传媒鈥檚鈥痗entral office in Kansas City, Missouri. From April 18鈥20, 257 state insurance regulators from 35 91传媒 member jurisdictions engaged in the Summit鈥檚 training sessions.
鈥淚t is critical for all states to have access to and utilize 91传媒 and NIPR technology offerings to support their state-based regulation,鈥濃said Kansas Insurance Commissioner Vicki Schmidt. 鈥淭he鈥疶raining and Collaboration Summit provided a great opportunity for states to learn from and interact with each other to better serve the industry in their state.鈥
The agenda focused on regulator鈥痶raining and interactive collaboration sessions covering NIPR applications and 91传媒 technology offerings, including State Based Systems (SBS), the System for Electronic Rates & Forms Filing (SERFF), the Online Premium Tax for Insurance (OPT ins), iSite,鈥痑nd the Uniform Certificate of Authority Application (UCAA).鈥

As part of our state-based system of insurance regulation in the United States, the 91传媒 (91传媒) provides expertise, data, and analysis for insurance commissioners to effectively regulate the industry and protect consumers. The U.S. standard-setting organization is governed by the chief insurance regulators from the 50 states, the District of Columbia and five U.S. territories. Through the 91传媒, state insurance regulators establish standards and best practices, conduct peer reviews, and coordinate regulatory oversight. 91传媒 staff supports these efforts and represents the collective views of state regulators domestically and internationally.
