Commissioner Andrew Mais Testifies on behalf of the 91传媒 at U.S. House Financial Services鈥 Subcommittee Hearing
91传媒 Secretary-Treasurer and Connecticut Insurance Commissioner Andrew Mais testified on behalf of the 91传媒 at the U.S. House Financial Services Subcommittee on Housing, Community Development and Insurance鈥檚 virtual hearing on 鈥淏uilt to Last: Examining Housing Resilience in the Face of Climate Change.鈥 Other witnesses include the Natural Resources Defense Council, Ayuda Legal Puerto Rico, the Commissioner of Harris County, Texas, and Taxpayers for Common Sense. Commissioner Mais鈥 testimony focused on the importance of mitigation to improve disaster resiliency and highlights the work of the 91传媒鈥檚 Climate and Resiliency Task Force, notes state insurance regulators鈥 partnership with FEMA, and expresses support for a long-term reauthorization of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).
